Amy Canterbury has spent her entire adult life in Vanderburgh County and is our Republican candidate for Commissioner in the 3rd District. She has led a successful career as a leader in the banking industry and non-profit organizations, and she’s ready to continue serving our community.
Canterbury served as the CEO of United Way of Southwestern Indiana from January of 2016 to April of 2024. In that role, she successfully led a passionate team of service-minded individuals and has led the transition to impact that focuses on the Upward Mobility of families through four key pathways: empowering employment, mental health, thriving next gen, and social stability and growth. Prior to that role, she served as Regional CEO of American Red Cross and in multiple leadership roles in the banking industry, 17 years of which were at Old National Bank, and ultimately led to her becoming Senior Vice President and Director of Corporate Cash Management.
She holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration from Murray State University.
Amy Canterbury lives in Evansville with her husband of 34 years, Kevin, and they are members of St. James West Church. They are the proud parents of two adult daughters, Courtney and Kiersten, and the proud grandparents of Calvin and Madison.
